I’m afraid things are just as Mad here as they ever were. My Alice in Wonderland children’s play is opening this weekend (Ahhh!). I and my co-director, Michele, are quite excited about it, but this will be a loooong week for us, making sure everything is ready to go with all the set pieces, costumes, programs, volunteers, refreshments, sound system… you get the picture 🙂
Speaking of pictures, perhaps you noticed the one above, of the hat? Of course you did. It’s a sort of Mad Hat table decoration I made for the Alice show. It’s made completely of construction paper, hot glue, and crafty oddments I had in my supplies (buttons, fabric scraps, pipe cleaners, etc.). I think it turned out rather dashing, don’t you? I may put it on the refreshments table with the tea and cookies, to jazz things up a bit.
I also made a lovely purple one that quite effectively evokes the Cheshire Cat, if I do say so myself; but I haven’t taken a picture of it yet. It really is too cute, I promise I’ll share it with you soon!
Must be going now, show duties beckon me away! Do have a lovely day, won’t you? <3
