I’m so excited to share this with you, my very first “Voila” moment! What is a voila moment, you ask? It is the revealing of a finished project (Works-In-Progress no longer!). From now on, when I finish a project I think you might like, I’ll post it as a “Voila” 🙂
So to kick things off, I would like to announce that the Queen of Hearts Tutu Skirt is finally complete! I’ve been fiddling with it for a couple of weeks, and suddenly I just knew how to finish it, and BAM! it’s done. The little actress who wears it is going to be sooooooo pleased! I’m rather happy with it myself. 🙂
Are you ready to see it? Ok, here it is:
Hooray!!!!!!!!!!!!! Isn’t it pretty?
I admit, I am quite ridiculously happy with this little skirt.
I started out with just the red tulle, and then promptly ran out, which gave me the idea of adding the strips of red fabric interspersed throughout. I knew I wanted to do something different in the front, so the yellow and white were added. I created the small hip poufs by tucking/stitching a couple of pieces from the front to the back. After that, the only thing missing was a nice, big heart.
Hmmm? What’s that? You want to move in for a closer look? Certainly:
Ooooo, very nice, wouldn’t you say? Let’s take a look at the back as well:
Also quite pretty, I think 😀 Gotta love the giant bow! Now I just need to make a matching scepter…
I hope you’ve enjoyed this first “Voila” as much as I have; it’s been great fun! I really do love finishing projects. Thank you so much for sharing this special moment with me!
